Target audience for the new company. What is it?

The target audience is people who may be interested in our product or service. That is, our potential buyers. We focus on them when creating a strategy, content plan, thinking over creatives. The first thing you should do when targeting your audience is to accept the fact that you - a marketer or entrepreneur - may not be part of it. The most unpleasant thing that can happen in the process of developing a strategy is to plan a product promotion, focusing on yourself: using platforms, tones, allusions, messages that seem ideal and worthy of the Cannes Lions to you.

In this case, the target audience of the brand may not understand you at best, and at worst - react sharply negatively to messages if their value system does not coincide with yours. Let us recall the Delivery Club case, when the company made an outdoor advertisement in which couriers talk about their professions. "Your order will be delivered by a literature teacher" caused a predominantly negative reaction in Central Asia: "Is it really so bad in the country that a teacher and a reporter have to work as couriers?" In addition to the services with which you can conduct a unique analysis of the target audience, there are also open sources, which already contain ready-made studies of behavioral targets and other useful information for promoting various products. Most likely, what you are studying has already been analyzed and posted by someone, and you just need to search and correctly interpret the data obtained and do not forget to provide a link to the source if you are going to publish.
